Joe, Congratulations on a Great Career

Please join us in congratulating Joe Tripp (Power Systems Senior Application Engineer) on a long and abundant career!

Joe Tripp retired in June, after nearly 46 years with Gregory Poole. He began his career at Gregory Poole on October 16, 1971 in the Warranty Claims area. Joe has been involved in many areas of operations during his career, including the Raleigh Specialization Shop and the Technical Services Dept. In December 1980, Joe moved to the Engine Division as an Electric Power Generation Sales Representative. He was a quick study of the applications and industries that the Engine Division served. In fact, Joe became a “Go-to Guy” for customers and consulting engineers. Many would seek out his advise on their equipment needs and application issues. Joe became the manager of the Engine Division in 1986. In 1989, through Joe’s leadership and efforts, Gregory Poole was awarded Caterpillar’s top tier of Engine Distributorships, the Power Systems Distributor designation. Joe was promoted to and served as the first General Manager of Gregory Poole Power Systems. In recent years Joe has served as Gregory Poole Power Systems Senior Application Engineer.

Joe has utilized his formal training as a Mechanical Engineer from North Carolina State University to bring depth and wide ranging technical expertise to roles that he has served in over his years at Gregory Poole. He has always represented Gregory Poole with the highest level of professionalism and integrity throughout his career. Joe has always been driven to serve the customer at the highest level and make the Gregory Poole relationship foundational to their success.
